We strive to get you from White Belt to Black Belt with the best possible grade.
Our Instructing Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
You've heard the phrase "It takes a village to raise a child" well the same is true of Taekwondo. we have a large number of adult and junior instructors and assistants to teach you and your family, so we have a very good ratio of instructors to students. In most classes you can expect to be taught for at least part of your class in a group of just one or two belt levels.
Every student is different, and our extensive range of instructors allows you to be taught your syllabus in many different and interesting ways. You will learn something different from every instructor.
Qualified Instructors
All our fully qualified adult instructors are black belts and have been training in Taekwondo for many, many years. They are fully insured, hold enhanced DBS checks, and undertake Safeguarding and First Aid training every 3 years.
Sarah & Mark Robson
Sarah and Mark have been training in Taekwondo since 2006. They are both fully qualified Registered BTC Instructors and fully qualified TAGB Referees. Together they own the Daventry Tigers TKD partnership, with Sarah Robson as the registered instructor for Daventry TKD (formerly run by Grand Master Jackson White) whilst Mark Robson is the registered instructor for Daventry Tigers.
Mark was a Royal Air Force pilot for 21 years before undergoing a major career change and now writes books for young people. He has about 18 books currently in print. Mark took up Tae Kwon-do as research for his book Imperial Spy and enjoyed it so much he has continued training ever since!
Having spent many years as a flying instructor and teaching creative writing in schools both in the UK and abroad, he is no stranger to teaching both adults and children.
By day Sarah is a Barrister with Alpha Court Chambers. As a stickler for rules and regulations, you can be sure that no Health & Safety stone is left unturned in Daventry TKD! She brings an unusual balance of strict discipline and crazy fun to our classes.
Aside from Tae Kwon-do, she enjoys skiing, travelling and Thai food!
